Delta and LATAM expand Joint Venture to Argentina, creating new possibilities for travelers and cargo shippers across the Americas. Two years after launching their strategic partnership, the airlines have agreed to include Argentina within the scope of their collaboration, connecting more than 200 destinations between the United States, Canada, and Argentina.
The expansion means travelers from Argentina can now enjoy improved connections to a vast network of destinations operated by Delta across North America. In addition to smoother travel, frequent flyers will gain expanded benefits through the joint accrual of miles in Delta SkyMiles and LATAM Pass programs, along with a host of other exclusive perks.
Members of both loyalty programs will have even more ways to earn and redeem rewards. Delta SkyMiles members can now redeem miles on LATAM-operated flights, and in the coming months, LATAM Pass members will enjoy the same benefit on Delta-operated flights. This development significantly increases travel flexibility and rewards options between North and South America.
Elite members will also see greater privileges when flying either airline. Perks such as access to Delta Sky Club and LATAM Lounge VIP lounges, complimentary baggage allowances, and free seat selection will be recognized across both carriers. These mutual benefits further streamline the flying experience for loyal customers and enhance the value of their membership.
Beyond passenger travel, the expanded agreement will also support cargo customers by improving transportation options between Argentina, the U.S., and Canada. With integrated solutions on both passenger and freighter aircraft, businesses can expect more choices and better connections for their shipments within the region.
The move follows final regulatory approval and marks a significant step toward deeper cooperation between Delta and LATAM. The airlines have already notified Argentina’s National Commission for the Defense of Competition about the agreement for post-implementation evaluation, ensuring a smooth rollout of the expanded services.
As connectivity strengthens, customers flying between North and South America will experience greater convenience, more travel options, and an enriched loyalty program experience—thanks to the growing partnership between Delta and LATAM.
