Oman Air Expands Moscow Route to Year-Round Service

Oman Air has announced a significant expansion of its international flight network, extending its Muscat–Moscow route to a year-round service and reinstating double-daily flights between Muscat and London starting October 2025. The strategic move aims to enhance tourism, business, and cultural exchange while boosting Oman’s global connectivity.

The Muscat–Moscow route, which was previously seasonal, will now operate continuously throughout the year due to strong demand and sustained performance. From May to September, Oman Air will operate up to three weekly flights, complementing its existing winter schedule of up to six weekly flights from October to April.

His Excellency Eng. Saeed Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and IT and Chairman of Oman Air, commented:

“The introduction of summer flights marks a return to full-year operations in Moscow, further strengthening Oman Air’s presence in this key route and underscoring the importance of the Russia-Oman corridor for tourism, trade and cultural exchange.”

This extension highlights Oman Air’s commitment to investing in high-demand, strategically important routes, while supporting Oman’s national agenda for economic diversification and global engagement.

Increased Access Across Seasons

The summer flight schedule will see services operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays during May and June, and expanding to Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from July through September. The route will be served by the airline’s state-of-the-art Boeing 737 Max-8 aircraft, offering guests a choice between Business Class and Economy, alongside the renowned Omani hospitality and award-winning inflight service.

Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air, stated:

“Moscow has proven to be a high-performing route in our network, and its year-round operation enables us to meet growing demand across all seasons while reaching a broader market. This expansion strengthens connectivity for our guests, supports our wider network strategy by linking Russia to destinations across the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Africa via Muscat, while also contributing positively to Oman’s tourism goals.”
