JetBlue Expands Fort Lauderdale Network with Nonstop Flights to Philadelphia and Ecuador

JetBlue is strengthening its footprint in South Florida with the return of two nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Starting this July, travelers will once again be able to fly directly from Fort Lauderdale to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE) in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

The announcement reinforces JetBlue’s strategic investment in Fort Lauderdale as a premium leisure hub and its ongoing mission to serve both East Coast vacationers and Latin American communities. Flights are now available for booking, with introductory one-way fares starting at $69 for Philadelphia and $119 for Guayaquil.

These routes are part of a broader push by the airline to grow in South Florida, where it has already increased its departures by 6% year-over-year. JetBlue now operates over 70 daily flights to more than 30 destinations from Fort Lauderdale, offering more flights to the Caribbean and Latin America than any other airline this summer.

The airline is also upping its game in the premium space, with more than 60% growth in lie-flat seats compared to last year, further emphasizing its goal of becoming the leading premium leisure carrier in the region.

Daniel Shurz, head of revenue, network and enterprise planning at JetBlue, stated:
“As JetBlue continues to build the best East Coast leisure network, we are offering customers more value, choice and convenience. With direct access from Philadelphia and Guayaquil via Fort Lauderdale, we’re not only making it easier for more customers to get to their favourite vacation destination, but also to connect with their family and friends, all while strengthening JetBlue’s position as a preferred carrier in South Florida.”

Whether it’s reconnecting with loved ones in Ecuador or enjoying a summer city escape to Philadelphia, JetBlue’s resumed routes aim to serve a growing demand for direct, affordable, and comfortable travel options. The airline’s blend of low fares and premium service is helping it stake a bigger claim as a go-to choice for travelers heading to and from Florida.
