Air France to Launch Direct Paris-Riyadh Route in May 2025

Air France is expanding its long-haul network with a new destination in the Middle East. Starting May 19, 2025, the airline will introduce a direct route between Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Riyadh (RUH), Saudi Arabia.

The new service will initially operate three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from May 19 to June 1, 2025. From June 2, 2025, the frequency will increase to five flights per week, adding Tuesdays and Sundays to the schedule.

Flight Schedule (Local Time)

  • AF684: Departs Paris-CDG at 11:20 p.m., arrives in Riyadh at 6:25 a.m. (next day)
  • AF685: Departs Riyadh at 8:40 a.m., and arrives in Paris-CDG at 2:20 p.m.

The route will be serviced by the Airbus A350-900, featuring a total of 324 seats, including:

  • 34 Business Class
  • 24 Premium Economy
  • 266 Economy Class

Strengthening Air France-KLM Group’s Presence in Saudi Arabia

With this new route, all three airlines of the Air France-KLM Group—Air France, KLM, and Transavia—will provide connections to Saudi Arabia:

  • Air France: Paris-CDG to Riyadh
  • KLM: Amsterdam-Schiphol to Riyadh and Dammam
  • Transavia France: Paris-Orly and Lyon to Jeddah (since December 2024)

Additionally, the launch of this route will reinforce Air France’s partnership with Saudia Airlines, providing expanded connectivity for passengers traveling between Europe and Saudi Arabia.

This strategic expansion underscores Air France’s commitment to enhancing its global network and catering to growing demand for travel between France and the Middle East.
