Riyadh Air Reveals Stunning Boeing 787 Interiors

Riyadh Air has revealed the interiors of its much-anticipated Boeing 787 Dreamliner, giving the world a first look at its luxurious and tech-forward cabins. The new Saudi Arabian airline, backed by the Kingdom and poised to become a major player in global aviation, is making a bold statement before its inaugural passenger flights take off later this year.

Instead of easing into the skies quietly, Riyadh Air is flying headfirst into innovation. With a clear focus on merging comfort, technology, and cultural identity, the airline’s new cabin designs are raising eyebrows and expectations. The Dreamliner fleet will feature a three-class configuration, aimed at reshaping the premium travel experience.

The standout feature is the Business Elite cabin, which replaces the traditional first class—at least for now. This exclusive section is limited to just four seats, positioned in the front of the aircraft, closest to the cockpit. These elite seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, and the middle pair can be turned into a private two-person suite, making them ideal for couples or colleagues. Closed doors ensure privacy, while the fully lie-flat beds and spacious design provide maximum comfort.

Regular business class offers 28 Safran Unity seats in the same 1-2-1 layout. Travelers here will enjoy the luxury of space, a sleek design with Saudi-inspired aesthetics, and some serious tech: 32- and 22.5-inch 4K OLED monitors, AC outlets, and both USB-A and USB-C ports. It’s clear that Riyadh Air is not cutting any corners.

The premium economy section promises an elevated experience with Recaro PL3530 seats, each almost 49 cm wide and spaced generously apart. These seats also come with 15.4-inch 4K OLED screens and USB-C charging ports, bringing entertainment and convenience to the mid-tier market.

Even in economy class, the airline is prioritizing passenger experience. Seats from Recaro’s R3 line offer ergonomic comfort and are fitted with 13.4-inch 4K OLED entertainment screens and USB-C charging options. Each cabin class reflects a shared design vision: elegance rooted in Saudi heritage, combined with cutting-edge materials and technologies.

A major perk across all classes? Free onboard WiFi for all passengers—no strings attached, just sign up for the loyalty program.

Though the airline has yet to reveal its official route network or open ticket sales, one thing is certain: Riyadh Air is setting out to redefine what air travel looks and feels like from takeoff to touchdown. The launch of commercial flights is expected between the third and fourth quarters of the year.

With its visually striking interiors, attention to cultural detail, and focus on passenger comfort, Riyadh Air is aiming high—and the world is watching.
