Andean hospitality takes on new meaning this spring with the launch of Tinajani, a secluded tented camp set deep within a 300-year-old canyon in southern Peru. Created by the family-owned Andean hospitality brand, Tinajani is the latest addition to a carefully curated collection of properties that celebrate the rich heritage and landscapes of the Andes.
Nestled between Cusco, Lake Titicaca, and the Colca Valley, Tinajani will become Andean’s most remote retreat yet. The property spans 300 untouched acres of dramatic terrain, offering travelers a quiet, immersive escape into Peru’s high-altitude wilderness. With just six camps on site, each includes two spacious tents—one for sleeping and one for lounging—as well as a private outdoor deck featuring a hot tub perfect for stargazing beneath the Andean night sky.
The launch of Tinajani builds on the success of Andean’s five other hand-crafted destinations, each located in a unique part of Peru and shaped by a deep respect for Andean culture, history, and design. From restored monasteries to lakeside lodges, the brand’s approach blends authenticity, sustainability, and elegance.
In Arequipa, Cirqa is a standout example of the brand’s dedication to historic preservation. Located in a 16th-century former monastery within the UNESCO-protected city center, Cirqa features volcanic stone architecture, high-vaulted ceilings, and menus inspired by local countryside cooking traditions.
Puqio, another tented camp located in the Colca Valley, offers guests a chance to explore Andean life surrounded by condors, terraced slopes, and ancient landscapes. Like Tinajani, it celebrates the spirit of early exploration, providing a deep connection to land and sky through thoughtful design and remote positioning.
Overlooking Lake Titicaca, Titilaka invites travelers to experience Andean culture at 4,000 meters above sea level. The lodge is surrounded by water, mountains, and sky, offering cultural immersions and peaceful moments in nature with the local Quechua and Aymara communities.
In the capital city of Lima, Andean operates two boutique hotels in the neighborhood of Miraflores. Atemporal is a transformed 1940s Tudor home tucked away in a quiet enclave, while Fausto provides a modern contrast with its rooftop terrace, honesty bar, and clean, contemporary design.
Looking to the future, the brand has plans for a seventh property, expected to open in late 2026. Staying true to its mission, Andean remains committed to supporting local communities, preserving cultural traditions, and crafting experiences that inspire pride in the Altiplano and its people.
With Tinajani, Andean once again proves that travel can be both adventurous and meaningful—bringing guests closer to the landscape, the stars, and the soul of Peru.
