Discover Airlines continues to expand its long-haul network from Munich Airport, with Calgary now added as a new destination. Canada’s fourth-largest city, situated on the vast North American prairie, serves as an ideal gateway for outdoor adventures—thanks to its close proximity to Banff National Park in Alberta and the Rocky Mountains. Flights are scheduled to depart from Munich three times a week at 1:25 p.m.
The Lufthansa subsidiary thus completes the series of inaugural flights from its new intercontinental base at the Bavarian aviation hub. Previous inaugural flights took off to Orlando and Windhoek. All three new routes are operated by an Airbus A330. With a fleet of eight aircraft, the airline now serves 32 holiday destinations, offering a total of 80 weekly departures on short, medium and long-haul routes.
