SAS Introducing 28 New Routes Across 17 Countries

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is set to enhance connectivity across Scandinavia and beyond with its largest-ever summer traffic program for 2025. The expansion solidifies Copenhagen Airport’s role as a global hub, with a total of 278 routes and 23 million seats—2.2 million more than last year.

Expanding Global Reach

The summer schedule introduces new routes to Madrid, Budapest, Krakow, Lyon, Wroclaw, and Nuuk, with most departures from Copenhagen and additional connections from Oslo, Stockholm, and other Scandinavian cities.

Long-haul travelers will benefit from increased intercontinental routes, including:

  • Seoul – 4 weekly flights

  • Seattle – 5 weekly flights

  • Beirut – 3 weekly flights from Copenhagen, 2 from Stockholm

  • Stockholm to Reykjavík & Bodø – New direct flights

  • Oslo to New York (JFK) – Daily service

  • Oslo to Rhodes – Weekly flights

  • Bergen to Malaga – 2 weekly flights

Copenhagen: A Key Global Hub

By reinforcing Copenhagen as a strategic hub, SAS ensures smoother connections between Northern Europe and the rest of the world. Investments in Swedish domestic travel have also increased, with a 54% rise in flights, strengthening SAS’ position as Sweden’s primary carrier.

By broadening our network and optimizing travel options, we will provide our customers with unparalleled access to destinations across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East,” said Henrik Winell, Vice President of Network at SAS.

Enhanced Frequencies & More Options

Popular destinations such as Toronto, Berlin, Florence, and Prague will see increased flight frequencies, offering 70% more connection opportunities via Copenhagen.

New Routes Highlights:

  • Copenhagen – Beirut (3 weekly)

  • Copenhagen – Seattle (5 weekly)

  • Copenhagen – Nuuk (3 weekly)

  • Arlanda – Beirut (2 weekly)

  • Oslo – New York (JFK) (Daily)
