Vietnam Airlines Brings Back Nonstop Flights to Russia

Vietnam Airlines is set to resume its nonstop Hanoi-Moscow service on May 8, reconnecting Vietnam and Russia with direct flights after a hiatus. This relaunch strengthens the airline’s international presence while enhancing its operational efficiency.

Flights to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport (SVO) will initially operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with plans to increase frequency in the future. The route will be served by Vietnam Airlines’ Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, offering a comfortable three-class cabin layout. Passengers can choose between 28 lie-flat business class seats, 35 premium economy recliners, and 211 standard economy seats.

The decision to restore this key intercontinental route underscores Vietnam Airlines’ commitment to expanding its global network. With growing demand for international travel, the airline is positioning itself as a major player in connecting Asia with Europe.

As the travel industry continues to rebound, Vietnam Airlines’ move reflects a broader trend of airlines reinstating long-haul routes. This return of nonstop flights between Hanoi and Moscow offers both business and leisure travelers a seamless travel option, eliminating the need for layovers and reducing total journey time.

With more long-haul routes expected to return in the coming months, the resumption of this direct service is a promising step toward a more connected world.
