Lufthansa Enhances Business Class Dining with New Culinary Offerings

Lufthansa is taking Business Class dining to new heights with an upgraded meal service on short and medium-haul flights, set to launch on February 26. Designed to provide greater variety, premium ingredients, and enhanced sustainability, the new catering concept introduces more choices for passengers, including an expanded selection of hot and cold dishes.

A Refined Culinary Experience

The updated menu has been developed in collaboration with celebrity chef Johann Lafer, Lufthansa’s culinary teams, and catering partner Gate Gourmet. It brings together local flavors and European influences, ensuring a diverse and high-quality dining experience.

  • On flights of around two hours, Business Class passengers can now choose from an expanded range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian cold dishes.
  • On flights of three hours or more, the number of hot meal options increases from two to three, offering greater flexibility for travelers.

By incorporating regional ingredients and sustainable sourcing, Lufthansa aims to elevate in-flight dining while reducing food waste.

Pre-Select: Personalized Dining Before Takeoff

Lufthansa passengers can now pre-order their meals before their flight with the “Pre-Select” service, available free of charge for flights lasting more than two hours. This feature allows travelers to choose from up to nine hot dishes, ensuring they get their preferred meal while helping Lufthansa optimize food planning.
