This morning, an Avro RJ-100 aircraft (EP-MON) from Iranian airline Mahan Air was operating flight W55116 from Tehran to Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic.
Around 11 a.m., the crew was set to land on runway 08. However, the pilots mistakenly identified the runway and landed to the left of it, on an under-construction runway. Fortunately, the landing was completed safely, and no damage was reported by the crew.
In response to the aviation incident, the Southern Transport Prosecutor’s Office has initiated an investigation into the compliance with flight safety regulations.
